Camden International Film Festival

Camden International Film Festival

The Camden International Film Festival began in 2005 with 22 films on display. Hundreds have participated since. Showings are at the Strand Theatre in Camden, Maine. Nearly 100% of our films are followed by Q&A sessions with filmmakers and over the past two years we’ve developed musical performances and interactive components that enrich participants experiences. In 2009 we introduced the Points North Documentary Forum, a conference component consisting of a number of informative panels, workshops and networking events specifically designed to connect the documentary community with key industry leaders. The Forum also hosts the Points North Pitch, a live project pitching event for films and filmmakers looking for feedback from a highly distinguished panel. Past participants include representatives from HBO, the BBC, ARTE, The Tribeca Film Institute, the Sundance Institute and Sundance Channel, PBS, ITVS, IFP, Cinereach, Chicken and Egg, the Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC), the LEF Foundation, American Public Television and a number of leading executive producers, festival programmers and funders.
