Family Reunion Success

We have had many wonderful stays through the years and this one did not disappoint. The beautiful rooms and oh-so-comfortable beds speak for themselves. Along with the location. But our highlight was the picture-perfect dinner under the stars on the patio. After my family’s long journey up, the beautiful, welcoming, amazing Maine fare buffet set-out upon their arrival was to perfection. We wish we had more photos of the candle-lit setting, the wine and cheese, and the lovely little small tables for dinner. They are still talking about the lobster bisque and of course the lobster rolls, crab cakes, and a strawberry shortcake for our birthday boy. Just so perfect. Thank you for being accommodating to our special celebration and making it so memorable. We will, of course, be back. JS of Maine

Rest for the Weary

Just a brief note to thank you for our stay this past weekend at your lovely inn. It was exactly what we needed after a red-eye flight from San Fransisco. The accommodations were lovely, the bed was heaven, and your hospitality made for a most enjoyable stay. We appreciated your local recommendations and thought you and your staff did a great job. Many thanks. JR of San Fransisco

An Incredible Experience

This property was the surprise of our trip. Located in downtown Belfast with restaurants all around, it was an oasis of relaxation and comfort. The property itself is a triumph of attention to detail, with every aspect of the room just perfect (not a word I use lightly). Breakfasts were amazing, served by a friendly and attentive staff. At the Belfast Bay Inn, they really know what they are doing, and it is reflected in every square inch of this property. It’s pricey but worth every penny. We left wondering if we could just move there to live. It was that good. We could not recommend more highly. DB of Montana

The standard by which all others must be measured

I have had the good fortune of traveling worldwide for 50 years. I just had the pleasure of staying in the finest boutique hotel anywhere. The Belfast Bay Inn is my new gold standard, and I can’t help but think of the Lexus automobile phrase “the pursuit of perfection”.  This hotel has achieved perfection.

There is nothing about this gem that can be criticized.  Luxurious accommodations in a quintessential Maine coastal community. The need to find a nicer hotel is no longer a quest.  Stay here to experience the finest you will ever hope to find. FJD of Vermont

Lovely Hotel

To say that this is the best place to stay in Belfast, Maine is setting the bar too low. The Belfast Bay Inn may just be the best place to stay in all of Maine.

This is boutique hotel run by fine innkeepers. The entire staff will go out of their way to insure that you enjoy your visit. The rooms are beautifully appointed, super clean and well maintained. The included breakfasts are top notch.

The hotel is also a perfect launching spot to visit Acadia and Deer Isle to the north, Camden and Rockland to the south.

This was our second time at the inn. If you’re looking to explore that section of Maine, get thee to the Belfast Bay Inn. A fantastic visit is all but guaranteed. Augustwest of New York

My college girlfriend and I met here for a mid-week get away. What a treat! Every detail was thought of in our suite. From excellent bedding, to bathroom accessories (including a scale!) we had everything we could possibly need. The back entry was a beautiful garden which also served as the morning breakfast area. Breakfast was delicious, and very healthy. The owners were marvelous hosts. BT of Sacramento

First Class B&B

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Belfast Bay Inn recently for 3 nights. We stayed in Room 301. Everything about our room, and the Inn itself was first class. We were able to eat a scrumptious breakfast every morning in the beautiful, private courtyard. Susan, the proprietor was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, and ideas about things to do in the area. And Alayna our hostess/waitress had some great suggestions for places to go that only the locals know about (like her favorite place to swim). This is absolutely one of the nicest B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in.
